Warung Online.
Frontend ยท BackendA modern online store application built to support digital product browsing, ordering, and simple e-commerce management workflows.

Description
Warung Online is a web-based e-commerce application for running a small digital storefront. It offers responsive product browsing, ordering workflows, and interactive frontend interfaces backed by a scalable server-side architecture.
The project targets lightweight e-commerce needs suited to small businesses, online shops, and personal digital stores.
Background
Small sellers often need something between a social-media shop and a full enterprise platform. Warung Online was built to provide a modern, self-hosted store with the essential catalog, cart, and order management pieces without unnecessary complexity.
Goal
- Deliver a modern, responsive online shopping experience.
- Support core e-commerce flows: catalog, cart, and orders.
- Provide simple admin tools for managing products.
Features
- Product catalog and admin product management
- Product detail pages with search and filtering
- Shopping cart system and order management workflow
- Responsive, mobile-friendly modern UI
- Dynamic frontend interaction and fast page rendering
- Clean Tailwind CSS interface
Technologies
- Laravel โ backend framework handling routing, data, and business logic (likely exposing an API).
- React.js โ frontend library powering the interactive shopping UI.
- Tailwind CSS โ utility-first styling for a responsive, consistent design.
How to Run
# Backend (Laravel)
composer install
cp .env.example .env
php artisan key:generate
php artisan migrate
php artisan serve
# Frontend (React)
npm install
npm run dev
Technical Decisions
- Paired Laravel with a React frontend to separate a robust backend from a fast, interactive client.
- Chose Tailwind CSS for rapid, consistent styling without maintaining large custom stylesheets.
- Focused the scope on essential e-commerce workflows to keep the platform lightweight and maintainable for small businesses.
What I Learned
- Integrating a Laravel backend with a React frontend and managing state across them.
- Modeling products, carts, and orders in a relational schema .
- Building responsive interfaces efficiently with Tailwind CSS.
Notes
Best suited to small-scale stores. Future ideas include payment gateway integration, user reviews, and order tracking.
